Beauty Storage

Here is a peek at my very unsophisticated beauty storage- vintage pots for brushes, Diptique pots (of course) and some battered old IKEA drawers for all the rest. What do you think? How do you store your beauty products?

#bbloggers Review: Illamasqua Illumine Oil

Illumine Oil- Illamasqua

This was a gift from my best friend Ash who knows that come summer, I love to shimmer. In my head I have that J.Lo 'glow' and look just like I'm in a music video. In reality, I probably just look like me but shinier.

This oil goes on really easily and absorbs almost instantly leaving a subtle shimmer. It's not a glittery oil, which can be a bit tacky, but it gives your skin a luminescence which is very sexy.

I use on my legs and shoulders. It smells great too- a bit like Hawaiian Tropic, one of my fave smells ever.

They have it in a few colours including a bronzy gold which would warm up any skin tone. Surprisingly, even though I'm dark skinned- I love this shade on me.

Has anyone tried any other shimmer body oils?

#bbloggers Review: Touche Eclat

If you haven't heard of YSL's legendary Touche Eclat by now then, well, where have you been hiding for the last decade?

I used to nick my (Danish) Mum's, which actually worked pretty well on my skin tone... if a little, teeny bit white for me!

YSL now have a range of colours to suit all skin tones- I use 2 which is great for medium and asian skin tones as it's a bit yellow-y. I use this under my eyes and on the bridge of my nose when I need to look refreshed, which can be quite often these days.

It's great as it's not a concealer, but a 'light reflector' so doesn't look heavy on the skin.
It's a beauty must-have!

Is this one of your make-up bag essentials too?

Here it is in action... XX

#bbloggers Thrifty Beauty

Insanely trampy or cleverly thrifty? You tell me. I happened upon this trick a few weeks back when my perfume bottles and bank balance ran dry at the exact same time.

So, rather than go into debt replacing my Ange au Demon, I set to work snipping away at the huge pile of magazines I have- and look at the haul!

Not just perfume either- loads of beauty products.

So I've put them all in a little case I can dip-into whenever. These mini samples are also great for nights out or holidays!

I hope you like my thrifty tip- and first proper post! Let me know in the comments... or if you have any frugal tips of your own.
